The Place To Be

Seafood is very popular due to its location on the Atlantic Ocean as well as the Carribean Ocean. The tropical soil grows many tropical fruits and vegetables, including, mangos, bananas, coconuts, papayas, cucumbers, guavas, avacados and more. Tea is the term used for any breakfast drink. The currency in Barbados is the Barbados dollar. One US dollar is two Barbados dollars.

   When you go to Barbados you will fly into Grantley Adams International Airport. In Barbados most people use public transportation, such as buses, minibuses, and taxis. Barbados has a central paved highway, and an adequate network of roads. Similar to the British they drive on the left side of the road.

   Bajans usually greet eachother with a smile and a simple handshake. They greet eachother with a "hello" followed by a "how are you?" Bajans use there hands to communicate a point. When people are annoyed or want to show a sign of disgust they put thir hands on thir hips.

1. Crane Beach - Crane Beach has beautiful pink coral sand.

2. Bathsheba - The Bathsheba Beach has large rock formations which are remnants from an ancient coral reef.

3. Parliament Buildings - These buildings are constructed of coral limestone.

4. Andromeda Botanic Gardens - These gardens specialize is tropical plants from throughout the world.

5. Gun Hill Signal Station - Built in 1818 used to signal when enemy ships were coming. Also offers brethtaking views.
